Margaret Morton Bibb was enslaved by Marmaduke Beckwith Morton in Russellville, Kentucky. She created quilts for Mrs. Morton that were used in the bedrooms of the estate. One of these quilts is displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Another is housed at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
