Quincy
In 1978, my family spent a 10 month furlough in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. I was in the third grade at Woodland Elementary. We lived in a small house on Quincy Avenue that was avocado green inside and out! I had a guinea pig named Coco that squealed every time you opened the refrigerator door. My Halloween costume that year was a corduroy puppy costume that I borrowed from my cousin. Our family car was my dad‘s ‘63 Ford Falcon convertible with red interior. It always had a musty storage smell. This little pup in her ‘70s color scheme brought back a lot of memories!
Quincy stands approximately 9 inches tall. She is constructed of recycled, corduroy and stuffed with repurpose denim. She wears a vintage handkerchief.
