Oscar

The partnership of Oscar Hammerstein and Richard Rodger’s is considered the greatest theater writing partnership of the 20th century. With the titles, “Oklahoma!” “Carousel,” “South Pacific, “ “the King and I,” and “sound of Music,” the two men ushered in the Golden Age of the musical. Oscar provided lyrics for 850 songs and was often an uncredited director. He won 8 Tonys and 2 Oscars, and strongly influenced Steven Sondheim.

Oscar is constructed and dressed in recycled wool.  He is stuffed with recycled denim.  He stands approximately 13” tall.
